With-it-ness: Teachers respond immediately to incidents rather than waiting, quash minor problems before they turn into major ones, don’t overreact to incidents, and focus accurately on the individuals involved in the accident rather than blaming someone wrongly.
Overlap: Deal with more than one activity at a time
Effects on Gender, Ethnicity, Socioeconomic Status; Learning Styles; Disability/ Inclusion; Risk and Resilience/ Learned Helplessness
Gender: Teacher-Student interaction differs according to the gender of the student though even when confronted with documentation.
Ethnicity: Ethnic background is a factor in teacher student interaction in that both student and teacher come to the relationship with certain socialization experiences influencing their values, morals, attitudes, motives, behaviors and roles.
Socioeconomic status:
Teacher characteristics that foster learning
