Cognitive distortions:
Tendency to make errors becuase of quick categorization of people into groups ( snap judgements)- causes use to think people between groups are more different and people within group are more simliar then they actually are.
Outgroup homogenity effect:
People in the outgroup are all similiar and people within the ingroup are all unique.
Defensive attributions:
tendency to blame victims to feel less likely to be victimized themselves.
