What is summarizing in Person Centered Intervention?
well timed, emerging insights, client language and not bias on counselor thoughts , to help the clients hear what they said in a slightly different way
What is Focused Listening and Attending in Person Centered therapy?
Listening to the person and their story in particular, if they talk about someone else, you are seeing them and their emotions in it.
What is clarifying in Person Centered Theory
Involve querying the clients to provide more detail or explanation about what they are talking about. Two types, Factual issues: who what where when and why and Two: probe more deeply into their inner lives.
What is reflecting feelings in Person Centered Theory?
counselor is focusing on the clients emotional experience and reflecting that back to the client- giving the emotion a name
