biome
a certain type of ecosystem like different parts of the world like a forest, desert or tundra
climate
The weather or how it feels out
latitude
an angular distance north or south of the equator
altitude
how high up something is, and its position to the sea level
tropical rain forest
the rainforest in south America where it rains all year long with humidity levels up to 88 percent on the average
emergent layer
the layer where the tallest trees are found above the canopy
conopy
a layer of trees that create a ceiling like wall above the rainforest where the trees are very thick
epiphyte
plants that grow on other plants
understory
a layer of vegetation underneath a rainforest canopy
temperate rain forest
temperate are found closer to the equator where it is warm
temperate deciduous forest
a forest that is very different from a rainforest and does not have canopies but has many trees and wildlife and not as humid
taiga
a cold forest where it snows a-lot, but still has wild life, its like a cold version of the disdusos forest
savannah
a bimoe mostly found in africa but it is where all the lions and giraff animals are found at it is a flat land and contains much wild life
temperate
relates to the tempatures of different bioms
grassland
a large area covered with tall grass
