Most significant characteristic of a good test. Must measure what it was designed to assess.
Validity

Test must not be overly long, and scoring method should not be complex or restricted.
Practicability
Characteristics of a Good Psychological Test:
An essential trait. Should be uniform throughout the test (depending on examiner’s skill) and must be clearly defined.
Standardized Procedure

Refers to a representative sample’s average performance on a specific test.
Norms

Must follow organized/specific arrangement of stimuli based on test construction
Second Characteristic
Test must provide both quantitative & qualitative data.
Third Characteristic
Test must be based on a limited sample of behavior.
Fourth Characteristic
Most tests provide category scores to be then interpreted using a standardized sample.
