Motivation definition
Defined as an internal condition that incites and directs action or behaviour
Intrinsic motivation
(for fun, to improve, to get better, for yourself because you believe its important), this type of motivation will be sustained for longer of period of time
Extrinsic motivation
(money, pressure from someone) this motivation can be dangerous because it can lead to a decrease in motivation if money, praise etc is removed motivation and participation may stop
What does SMART represent
S:specific M:measurable A:acheivable R:relevant T: time

make links with skills they know- make links they have already practiced
