Criminal intention or knowledge that an act is wrong

The reason someone does something

Party of common intention
This is when a group of people have a very strict plan and one person goes of the rails of that plan, this just means that the people who were staying on tract can unfortunately still be charged with the offence that the other person committed.
Perpetrator
To be responsible or to commit a crime
Quasi-criminal laws
Laws covering less serious offences at the provincial or municipal level; most often punished by fines.
Recklessness
consciously taking an unjustifiable risk that a reasonable person would not take
Regulatory Law
Federal or provincial statutes meant to protect the public welfare
specific intent

in criminal law, offences that do not require mens rea; the accused offers the defense of due diligence

A deliberate closing of one’s mind to the possible consequences of one’s actions
