Administrative law

Civil/Private Law
the area of law that deals with legal relationships between individuals and between individuals and organizations; also known as private law.
Constitutional Law
The body of public law set out in the Constitution that deals with the distribution and exercise of the powers of government and establishes legal principles and standards.
Contract Law
The branch of civil law that provides rules regarding agreements between people and businesses when they purchase or provide goods and services.
Criminal Law
A category of public law that prohibits and punishes behaviors that injures people, property, and society as a whole.
Distinguishing A Case
a decision by a judge to reject previous decisions and create a new precedent.
Domestic Law
Law that governs activity within a nation’s borders.
International Law
Laws that govern the conduct of independent nations in their relationships with one another.
Jurisdiction
he political or legal authority to pass and enforce laws; also, the judicial authority to decide a case.
Procedural Law
Law that prescribe the methods of enforcing the right, duties, and responsibilities of substantive law.
Property Law
The branch of civil law that governs ownership right in property.

A category of substantive law that regulates the the relationship between the government and its citizens.
Statue Law
Laws that are passed by the government.
Substantive Law
a category of domestic law that defends the right, duties, and obligations of citizens and its government.
Tort Law
The branch of civil law that holds persons or private organizations responsible for damage they cause another person as a result of accidental or deliberate action.
