出る (deru)
To leave, to exit, to go out, to come out, to get out
To leave, to depart, to start out on something
To move forward
To appear, to emerge
To ejaculate, to cum
出る杭は打たれる
(Deru kui ha utareru)
The nail that emerges gets hit.
The nail that stick out gets hammered down.
People who stick out too much get punished.
出る幕ではない
(Deru maku de ha nai) its not my business, it’s not my place to say or do something
出るところに出る
(Deru tokoro ni deru) to go wherever one has to go to get a matter settled.
Ill have to do what I have to do.
This can be used for anyone that is adamant in doing something and achieving it, no matter what the cost might be.

To start fire
To serve food
Can be used as a suffix a verb in stem form. In this case the verb has the image of an action bursting out of nowhere
お尻を出す
(Oshiru wo dasu) Drop your pants

(Pasupo-to wo dashite) show your passport
泣き出す
(Nakidasu) to burst into tears

(Suitou) receipts and expenditures
