Empathize
First phase of the design thinking process. Understand users by observing, engaging, and empathizing with them. This helps uncover their latent needs.
Define
Second phase of the design thinking process. Clearly articulate the core problem you’re trying to solve, based on your observations during the empathize phase.
Ideate
The third phase of the design thinking process. Brainstorm a wide range of ideas and solutions to address the defined problem. This is where divergent thinking (generating a lot of ideas) is important.
Prototype
The fourth phase of the design thinking process. Develop simple and inexpensive prototypes of the most promising ideas. These prototypes can be paper models, storyboards, or digital simulations.
Test
The fifth phase of the design thinking process. Present prototypes to users, gather feedback, and refine solutions based on their responses. This phase involves quick iterations and learning through actions.
