What happens if you click on the filter criteria (e.g. Breadcrumbs)?
Clicking on a criteria will remove any conditions on the right of it.
Note: It basically removes any further refinement.
How do you remove a ‘middle’ criteria without clearing the conditions on the right?
Click on the ‘>’ to the left of that criteria.
-It will say ‘remove’ next condition.
How do you refresh the list of results?
Click on the right most filter
How do you display the fields in which you can search by column?
Click the ‘magnifying glass’ icon.
-It’s basically the same thing as when I enter the search parameters and click ‘search’. It will open like a search box per every column.
-If you do not enter a symbol, ServiceNow will insert a wildcard symbol by default (e.g. Johnny)
How many levels of context menu controls are there?
-3 levels
-List title menu: Horizontal triple line hamburger icon (e.g. View, filters, group by, show, refresh list, create favorite) on the top left corner of every context banner.
-List column context menu: Horizontal triple line hamburger icon beside the title of every column (e.g. Set A > Z, Set Z>A).
-List field context menu: Right click on any value to show options (e.g. Filter out/Show matching)
How do you show a visual task board for the list view of incidents/task/problem records?
Right click on a column and click ‘Show Visual Task Board’.
How do you show a bar/pie chart for a list view of incident/task/problem records?
Right click on a column and click ‘Bar Chart’ or ‘Pie Chart’.
-It will show the results as the desired visual.
How do you configure a list layout?
Right click a column > Configure > List Layout (Adjust columns displayed for users)
What does right clicking a column > Update All do?
-Allows you to make updates on the records that are visible.
Ex. ‘Assigned to’ person is sick and so you can sort the list based on the name and click ‘Update All’ to enter into the form view and set the ‘Assigned to’ field for the replacement perseon.
What is the ‘activity stream’ and what does it do?
-Activity stream is the heartbeat icon and it allows you to see the history of updates in the work section/statuses.
What is the ‘Actions on selected rows’ option?
-It basically exists at the bottom of the list view and allows you to delete records, add to update set, link to major incident etc..
