What started WW1?
The assassination of Austria-Hungary’s archduke Ferinand was blamed on Serbia. This started a war between the two, which included all of the other countries in alliance with them.

What was the Schlieffen Plan?
The German troops would move through two neutral countries, including Belgium (who is in alliance with Britain), in order to take over France by surprise
What is Britain’s two power standard?
Britain made sure that for every ship an opposing navy has, they would have two. This made sure that their navy would always be the biggest.
What did Britain want after WW1?
- Economically strong Germany to trade with in the future
- Not to create a Germany that would seek revenge
- Reduce Germany’s military power (disarmament)

- Control trade from defeated countries
