A digital story is a multimedia presentation combining a variety of digital elements within a narrative structure (a story)
Digital Storytelling in education:
Stories help teachers reach students in ways they cannot with other dry and deductive strategies.
They bring disparate information to life in a meaningful and connected way.
Stories engage students’ thinking, emotions, and imagination all at once.
Digital Storytelling Guidelines: is a 12-step process that students can follow
step 1 - choose topic
step 2- conduct research on the topic
step 3 - write the first draft of the script
step 4 - receive the feedback on the script
step 5- revise the script
step 6 - fine, create, and add images
step 7 - respect copyrights
step 8 - create a storyboard
step 9 - record audio narrative
step 10 - add background music (optional)
step 11- build the digital story
step 12 - publish the digital story
Script writing tips:
1- keep your script small and focused
2- make it personal
3- understand the story arc
