Human resource management
In it simplest terms, feigned as the effective management of the formal relationship between the employer and employees
Employer of choice
An employer of choice attracts, motivates and hold on to highly talented workers
Industrial democracy or empowerment
Is the move towards increasing the influence of employees in decisions affecting their organisation and their jobs
Diversity
Refers to the difference between employees in an organisation, encompassing characteristics such as race, gender, ethnic group, age, disability, sexual orientation, the terms of employment, personality and education.
Conditions of employment
Refers to what an employer has agreed to give the employee in return for the employees work.
Flexible working conditions
Are the conditions that allow employees to balance work and family responsibilities more effectively
Work - life balance
Is about achieving the right amount of time for work and for personal or family life
Occupation of health and safety’s
Refers to the responsibility the employer has to ensure the workplace is safe for employees and that steps are taken to minimise harm.
Job security
Is the belief that the employee will not lose their job
Motivation
Refers to the individual, internal process that directs, energies and sustains a persons behaviour
Human resource manager
A human resource manager coordinates all the activities involved in acquiring, developing, maintaining and terminating employees from an organisations human resources.
