Piaget’s stages of cognitive development
- sensorimotor: birth-2; no object permanence (peek a boo)
- Preoperational: 2-7; ego-centrism, no conservation (dividing one pizza into 3 slices is more than 1 pizza)
- Operational: 7-11; logical thought & conservation (water in longer glass same as shorter if same Vi)
- Formal operational: 11 onwards; abstract thought
