What are the four reasons Jesus’ miracles are unique?
-he refused compensation for his great miracles
-did not use any fancy ritual or ceremony, instead came from his own authority
(nature, illness, possession, evil, sin, death)
-power was vast and extended over all areas of life’s brokenness
-he never worked a miracle for its own sake
What are two accomplishments of Jesus’ miracles?
- they show that God’s power has broken into human history through the coming of his son
- shows that Jesus has dominion over Satan and the forces of darkness and evil
What are the two great miracles of Jesus?
Transfiguration
—-he went off to pray, he became suffused with the light of God, Moses and Elijah appeared, Jesus revealed his divine glory, instructed his deciples to wait to give the Good News after his Resurrection
Institution of the Eucharist
—-the Real Presence of Christ is shown through the Eucharist
Why is the Eucharist the center of the Church’s life?
-it celebrates and creates the Church, allowing Jesus to live in and transform us

Parables
An extraordinary event in the physical world that surpasses all known human or natural powers
Miracle
Any thought, word, or act that expresses hatred or contempt for Christ, God, the Church, saints, or holy things
