June 17 1775 General Gage sent 2400 British troops to breed hill they only won because the minutemen were running low on ammo.

Document signed by the 2nd continental congress to the king proposing reconciliation , the king shot it down.

A 500 page paper attacking king George and it argued that independence was Americas destiny .

What were some reasons for the declaration of independence ?
Refused to accommodate all people , cutting off trade with the world . Imposing taxes without consent.

The turning point in the war. Gen Burgoyne set out to ambush his troops from New York City but Howe never came and Burgoyne was stopped by Ethan Allen and his troops Burgoyne being tried and almost out of supplies he surrendered October 17,1777.
What did France do when they saw that we were winning the war ?
They decide to support the revolution both physically and financially , recognized American independence and signed a formal alliance.
