What was the Gulf of Tonkin Incident ?
In 1964, what really pulled the United States into Vietnam. Apparently the USS Mattox was parked by North Vietnam , allegedly they shot torpedoes at the Mattox but the us later retracted that idea
What was the Tonkin Gulf Resolution ?
Passed by LBJ that’s said that the President had the power to send any amount of troops he wanted to Vietnam .
What are Hawks?
People in America that were in support of the war.
What are doves ?
People that weren’t in support of the war .
What was the ‘Tet Offensive” ?
The turning point in the war in 1968. But a turning point for the negative . The Vietcong attacked every single major base at the same time.
