How was African American collective identity created in these years, and what role did slave rebellions play in that process?

A

African American collective identity was created by their color and residence to create unity. Their bond was slavery itself because they all came from different places. Over time they no longer identify as what they originally were but as African Americans. European traditions elements, African traditions, and the new American conditions also played a part. Slave rebellions played a part with the African Americans desire to be free
