Q

Somatosensory cortex

A

PARIETAL LOBE: processes sensory information such as touch, temperature, pain. This is the thin line in the picture. The larger part on the body, the more realestate it takes up on the cortex.

Q

Cerebellum

A

HIND BRAIN: “Little brain” Important for procedural memory. Receives messages from the bodies muscles, tendons, joints, parts of the ear for balance, movement, and motorskills. WHERE MEMORY IS FOR PROCEDURAL TASKS LIKE WALKING AND BREATHING.

17
Q

Thalamus

A

Part of Lymbic System: Operator. Sensory relay for the brain. All our senses (minus smell) go through here to other parts of the brain. THE DIRECTOR.

18
