Central holybook of Islam that Muslims believe to be the literal word of God recited verbatim from God to Muhammad through the angel Gabriel

Largest branch of Islam this faction believes that Muhammad’s successor should be chosen by a consensus of Muslims
Sunni Islam
Second largest branch of Islam, this faction believes that Muhammad’s successor should be someone from his blood line
Shiat or shiite Islam
Branch of Islam that arose as a protest to the worldliness invading the Muslim faith, this faction believes that Allah has a personal and physical nature
Sufi Islam
Unforgivable sin of idolatry or polytheism “to partner with another God”
Shirk
