4 steps to placing a bottle out of service:
- Placed out of service
- Emptied of air
- Tagged with scba repair request form
- Notify air techs
Three steps that should be performed upon assuming duty and after each use, should any fail the scba should be tagged and removed from service.
- Any component fails a testing procedure
- Any damage or wear found
- Cables or hoses are loose
