All members SHALL:
A
- Follow SOP’s and SOG’s of both EFRS and COE
- Use training and capabilities to protect the public at all times on and off duty
- Work competently in their positions to cause all department programs to operate effectively
- Always conduct them to reflect credit on themselves and the department
- Supervisors will manage in an effective, and considerate manner: subordinates will follow instructions in a positive, cooperative manner
- Always conduct them in a manner that creates good order inside the department
- Keep them informed to do their jobs effectively
- Be concerned and protective of each member’s welfare
- Operate safely and use good judgement
- Observe work hours of the position
- Obey the law
- Keep them physically fit
- Becareful of department equipment and property

A
Standard Operating Procedures
- The laws of the department and these directives must be adhered to
- use words like “must” and “will”
- If not followed, may resuld in possible legal implications for a member

A
Standard Operating Guidelines
- Guidelines developed for the safe and efficient mitigation of a myriad of events
- may be deviated from and are flexible, provided you can justify your actions
- Use words such as “Shall” and “May”
