Describe the process of fertilization once the male gamete arrives in the stigma.
An enzyme within the pollen grain dissolves through the style to form a pollen tube. As it goes the pollen tube goes around the ovary and penetrates on the bottom of the ovary. The spermcells then move down the tube(s) into the egg. The egg is then joined with the sperm, and so is the polar nuclei: which forms the embryo and the endosperm. There are also other haploid gametes within the plant that form the seed coat and other things.
