regulate and control emotions, eg. calm down and use coping strategies after being told no

activities that enhance ability to match changing demands of life. eg. going for social drink after work or to catch up w friends

awareness and knowledge anbles to adjust to diff environments and situations. e.g seeing a failed test as a way to learn
