Q

Mode in frequency table

A

The midpoint of the class with greatest frequency

16
Q

Difference between the maximum data value and the minimum data value

A

Range

17
Q

Range in frequency table

A

The upper boundary of the last class زائد نص - The lower boundary of the smallest class ناقص نص

18
Q

Measure of variations of values about the mean

A

The standard deviation

19
Q

The value if standard deviation is usually

A

Positive

20
Q

To find the standard deviation

A

21
Q

Standard deviation in frequency table

A

22
Q

What’s the range rule of thumb ?

A

( Range over 4 ) where range is max - min

23
Q

Empirical rule

A
  • 68% = 1 SD
  • 95% = 2 SD
  • 99.7% = 3 SD
24
Q

Coefficient of variation

A

variance over the mean multiply with 100 and then divide by two

25
Q

The number of standard deviation that a given value x is above or below the mean

A

Z score

26
Q

Whenever a value is less than the mean the z score is

A

Negative

27
Q

For the ……. the z score between-2 and 2

A

Ordinary data

28
Q

To find the z score corresponding:

A

Mean over the standard deviation

29
Q

Measures of location. Which divide a set of data into 100 groups with 1% of the values in each group

A

Percentiles

30
Q

To find the percentile corresponding :

A

Number of values less than x over the total number of values multiply with 100

31
Q

To find the 10th or whatever percentile :

A

32
Q

Measure of location, which divide a set of data into four groups with about 25% of the values in each group

A

Quartiles

33
Q

Q2 is the

A

Median

34
Q

Interquartile Range ;

A

Q3 - Q1

35
Q

Semi-interquartile Range :

A

Q3 -Q1 over 2

36
Q

Mid-quartile

A

Q3+Q1 over 2

37
Q

10-90 percentile range :

A

P90 - P10

38
