A

D: Internal order refers to protecting citizens’ rights, property, or whatever else that is needed to be protected within the country and society.

Ex: The Singapore Police Force protects Simgaporeans from crime or any form of criminal harm. They conduct regular patrols around the neighbourhood to ensure everyone’s safety and respond to incidents. They also deter people from committing crimes

A: Singaporeans are always protected by the police force, enabling them to feel safe and secure, instilling trust in the government.

A

D: External Security refers to strengthening the defence of a country to protect Singapore from any strong potential attaxckers or enemies, as well as any external threats.

Ex: The Singapore Armed Forces trains hard and becomes strong to prepare for any attacks. All able-bodied Singaporean men are also required to serve National Service to be combat ready through vigorous training, so that Singapore is able to retaliate and swift in response

A: This allows for a collective effort for all Singaporeans to feel safe and secure, increasing sense of trust in the government. Other potential aggressors are also detered through strong military, making SG less vulnerable.

Role of government in working for the good of society: Ensuring Justice

A

D: The act of making decisions and fair decisions by the court, and applying the laws that are passed by the legislature to judge people fairly

Ex: The Family Justice Laws provides guidelines on what is defined as family violence and who can apply for the Personal Protection Order, allowing the court to take action to prevent any violet person from enetering the his house.

A: This allows Singaporeans to feel safe and secure , as the courts would judge people and solve conflicts fairly, enabling them to instill trust and confidence in the government.

A

D: The government devotes significant resources to improve Singaporeans’ lifestyle, allowing them to enjoy the benefits of the good and services provided

Ex: The development of the MyTransportSG app that is a multimodal journey planner that informs commuters of neraby MRT stations and bus services.

A: This allows commuters to plan their journeys across different transport modes and be more time efficient, as they consider the time taken that is provided as information on the app.

A

D: Governments implement legislation that enable citizens to have a sense of security when living in the country, such as paying workers’ salary on time, and off days fromk work

Ex: The WorkRight Initiative helps both employees and employers understand their rights and responsibilities respectively, creating awareness of employment rights amongst low-wage workers and better ensure retirement security for this group of workers.

A: This allows Singaporeans’ rights to be well respected, allowing them to feel a sense of belonging to the country as they feel regarded, increasing their trust and confidence in the government.
