The act of returning a military attack; to harm someone because they have harmed oneself
Retaliation
A military operation in which enemy forces surround a town or building, cutting off essential supplies with the aim of compelling surrender
Siege
Related to or living in both land and water; a military operation involving forces landing from the sea
