Federation
A situation in which people of different social classes, religions, races, are together in a society but
continue to have their different traditions and interests.
Pluralistic
A political subdivision of central Asian nomads. A people or tribe of nomadic life.
Horde
To stop fighting an enemy or opponent : to admit that an enemy or opponent has won: to stop trying
to fight or resist something : to agree to do or accept something that you have been resisting or
opposing.
Capitulate
An occurrence in which a disease spreads very quickly and affects a large number of people over a
wide area or throughout the world.
Pandemic
A Buddhist priest of Tibet or Mongolia.
Lama
A way of life in which people continually or seasonally migrate in order to find pastures, water or
places to exchange goods.
Nomadism
Warriors that fight on horseback.
Cavalry
A person that seizes political power through force or non-traditional methods.
Tyrant
The divine wind which the Japanese credited with blowing Mongol invaders away from their shores in
1281.
