A protestant movement that applied Christian Ethics to Social problems like poor, rich, schools etc.
What are Settlement Houses?
An inner city area providing recreational, educational and other social services to the city
Who is Jane Addams?
Pioneer Settlement worker who founded the Hull House.
Who are the muckrakers?
Journalists who used real/alleged wrongs to bring to light the social injustices of the poor and bring about cash for them
What is “initiative and referendum”?
It allows citizens to propose legislation through signing petitions.
Who is Frederick W. Taylor?
He tried to employ greater efficiency throughout businesses.
