A political and economic system where the government controls property, wealth is shared equally, and there are no social classes

These were public trials of senior party leaders which were held in moscow. The leaders provided evidence of their wrong doing and confessed to their crimes. many were executed
Name and explain an example of terror in communist Russia
Gulags:
gulags were labor camps in the soviet union, they were set up under lenin but were “improved” by stalin. people were often worked to death and the conditions were horrible.
Industrialisation??
stalin introduced the 5 year plans which were made to set targets for industry.
there were three plans made, all were successful and boosted the USSR to the second largest industry in the world
Collectivization??
Collectivization:
Stalin forced peasants to give up their land and join collective farms controlled by the state
Womens lives in communist Russia
Women were encouraged to join the workforce becoming factory workers engineers and farm laborers as part of Stalin’s economic plans. half of all workers were women
Despite their roles in the workforce, women were still expected to care for their families and homes
Women also gained more rights
