Symptoms of mild to moderate alcohol withdrawal?
restlessness, irritability, anorexia, tremor, insomnia, impaired cognitive functions, mild perceptual changes
Symptoms of severe alcohol withdrawal?
obvious trembling of hands and arms, sweating, elevated pulse and BP, nausea, hypersensitivity to noises, brief auditory and visual hallucinations, fever greater than 101
most extreme symptom of severe alcohol withdrawal?
grand mal seizures
symptoms of opioid intoxication?
bradycardia, hypotension, hypothermia, sedation, meiosis, hypokinesis, slurred speech, head nodding, euphoria, analgesia, calmness (EVERYTHING SLOWS DOWN)
symptoms of opioid withdrawal?
tachycardia, hypertension, hyperthermia, insomnia, mydriasis, hyperreflexia, diaphoresis, increased RR, muscle spasms, anxiety, abdominal cramps, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea. (EVERYTHING SPEEDS UP)
S/SX of stimulant withdrawal?
depression, hypersomnia, fatigue, anxiety, irritability, poor concentration, psychomotor retardation, increased appetite, paranoia, drug craving
