Starts with reasoning about a specific situation and then generalizing

Deductive Reasoning
Conclusions drawn on facts, principles, laws, or rules
Starts with information about larger circumstances and then applies to specific knowledge.
Move from broad to specific
Analytical Reasoning
Process of interpreting the meaning of information, determining the relationship with the information, and making assumptions about that information.
Usually presented in charts, tables, pictures, or graphs/
Inferential Reasoning
Process of drawing conclusions or making logical judgements based on facts, concepts, and evidence rather than direct observation.
Used with determining best course of action.
Evaluative Reasoning
Weighing the merits of the argument for validity and value
Helps guide us to make the correct decision
