Constraints
Limits on the ability of people and groups to make decisions over various facets of their lives.
Social construction
Something that is socially constructed is, at least in part, dependent on the society and social relations in which it is made and used.
Socio-economic position
The position of an individual or group based on a range of factors, including occupation, income level, education and cultural background.
Consumption
The purchase and use of products and services, and one of the defining features of contemporary society.
Economy
The range of activities that gives rise to the production, distribution, exchange and consumption of goods and services.
Power
A complex term used to denote influence, control or domination.
