A
many macrophages fuse to form granulomas to wall off a pathogen that they can’t clear. this is prompted by TNFalpha. sarcoidosis - noncaseating tuberculosis - caseating
the image shows a “gaucher cell”, a macrophage with a “crumpled tissue” appearance
