What cycle do cells go through before they divide?
The process is called the Cell Cycle
What are the 3 stages in the cell cycle?
Stage 1 = interphase
Stage 2 = Mitosis
Stage 3 = Cytokinesis
What is the name given to a cell before it has specialised?
It is called a Stem Cell
What are the features of a stem cell
Can replicate many times
Has potential to become specialised
What are the 2 types of stem cell?
Embryonic stem cells
Adult stem cells
Where are embryonic cells found?
They are found in the embryos
Where are adult stem cells found?
Found in adult tissues
