He asks Ralph about how he would deal with the large beastie on the island. ralph tells the boys that there is no beast, but jack is slightly more curious, claiming that he wil make sure that there is none when he is hunting.

A
The boys build a fire in order to get rescued, but the fire spreads into the jungle. The littlun with the birthmark disappears, which suggests that he has been caught in the fire.
