Chapter 2 Flashcards
What are glandular hormones & Glandular nervous
HORMONES: Any Hormone secreted from the Anterior pituitary gland including GH, TSH, ACTH, FSH, LH, prolactin.
NERVOUS: Any one secreted form the posterior pituitary gland including: only ADH”VH” & Oxytocin
what are the glandular tissues
any gland tissue : exo endo mixed
what are the Non glandular tissues
not a gland: bones ,blood vessels, kidneys
Glandular Hormone affecting glandular tissue
all anterior pituitary gland hormones Except GH
Glandular Hormone affecting non glandular tissues
GH
Glandular Hormone affecting exocrine gland
prolactin
Nervous Hormones affecting non glandular tissue
ADH “kidney & blood vessels”
Nervous hormones affecting glandular tissue
Oxytocin “Breast & Uterus”
Hormones affecting Pelvic girdle in male
GH & Calcitonin& thyroxin& parathormone
Hormones affecting Pelvic girdle in female
GH & Calcitonin & Thyroxin & Parathormone & RELAXIN
Hormone transmit nerve impulses generally
and in neuromuscular conjunction specifically
1st parathormone 2nd calcitonin
Note in choose the priority to Parathormone as it interring the Ca in the blood
Hormone help muscle in responding to impulses
Depolarization of muscle
Hormone help in transmitting impulses in Axons
Na in
K out
Aldosterone
Hormones affecting labor
Oxytocin “posterior” & Relaxine “ placenta”
hormones affecting lactation = suckling
Oxytocin & Prolactine
