N - tibial nerve (S1, S2)
Medial collateral ligament
attaches to medial condyles of femur and tibia to posterior and superior to axis of joint motion. stabilizes medial aspects of joint
lateral collateral ligament
attaches to lateral femoral condyle and head of fibula to posterior and superior axis of joint motion . stabilizes lateral aspect of joint
Anterior cruciate ligament
attaches to anterior surface of tibia to medial meniscus. maintains a-p stability
posterior cruciate ligament
attaches to posterior tibia in intercondylar fossa to anterior of medial femoral condyle. maintains p-a stability
semimembranosus
O- Ischial tuberosity
I - posterior surface of medial condyle of tibia
A - hip extension, knee flexion
