Red blood cells
These cells are stripped of everything and the major job is to transport oxygen

Red blood cells that are filled with a special red color molecule. It picks up oxygen in which there is a lot and releases oxygen in tissues where oxygen is needed
White blood cells
Neutrophils, monocytes, lymphocytes, eosinophils, and basophils. Some have the ability to change according to need and situations in the body. Attack infection
Arteries
Blood vessels that carry blood from the heart to all organs and cells in the body
Arterioles
The smallest of the arteries
Veins
Blood vessels that carry blood back to the heart
Capillaries
Tiny, microscopic blood vessels that connect arteries to veins.

Standard precautions

Gauze dressing
A woven, flexible absorbent cloth applied to a wound.
Occlusive dressing
A petroleum-based dressing with a thin plastic film, designed to keep air and moisture from entering or escaping a wound
Arterial bleeding
Is caused from a punctured or severed artery can be very severe. Most serious type of bleeding. Can lose a large volume of blood.
Venous bleeding
A result of one or more ruptured veins. Less severe but can still be profuse. Blood flow will be steady unlike pulsating arterial flow
