What is the meaning of the BRAKE SOURCE light ?
Low pressure in both normal and alternate brake system (only accumulator available).
How is the nose gear held up ? And the main gear ?
- Uplocks
- Door structure
What is the meaning of the LG GEAR light ?
In transit or disagreement
What is the meaning of the LG DOORS light ?
Any door is still open.
How does the alternate gear extension work ?
An electric motor that releases the uplocks. Doors remain open and DOORS remains illuminated.
Is anti-skid provided to the alternate brakes ?
Yes, to lateral wheel pairs.
What is the speed required for RTO autobrakes to engages in case of an RTO ?
85kts or more.
Autobrakes engage when:
- Thrust levers idle, AND
- Wheels spin up
Does full braking start immediately with autobrakes ?
No, deceleration is limited until main LG is fully on the ground.
Do autobrakes disengage when an antiskid fault occurs ?
Yes.
Can the parking brake be set with only C hydraulic system pressurized ?
Yes, parking brake can be set using pressure from normal brakes, alternate brakes or brake accumulator.
The tiller input can rotate the nosewheel:
