  • the clinician learns about the patient and establishes a therapeutic contract
    1. A stress interview: Client is in a situation of stress to measure an aspect of their personality
    2. Cognitive interview: Interviewee will use imagery and focuses on memory retreival to recall relevant information
    3. Collaborative: an interactive interview to discover or clarify together some form of measure
