Why is an outline recommended?
helps you remember your speech by showing the basic structure of your ideas
Advantages to using complete sentences in an outline
you are forced to clarify your ideas rather than having general ones

title, purposes and central idea, introduction and conclusion, body, transitions, bibliography, and visual aids
Why should you have a title?
if your speech is publicized, a catchy title will draw a bigger audience
Why should a subdivision have at least 2 parts?
You can’t divide something without having at least 2 parts
Advantages for using cards as speaking notes
easier to hold, forces you to use phrases instead of writing your whole speech out
disadvantages of using a full sheet of paper for notes
tend to write too much and skip over key points because there is too much to look at
Revise for continuity means?
keep revising your speech until it flows, and you feel comfortable with it
advantages of using visual aids
allows you to move around more and helps enlighten the audience
