Cognitive:
- Body dissatisfaction
- Preoccupation with one’s body weight
Behavioral:
- Binge eating episodes (eating large amounts of food in short period) plus sense of loss of control over eating
- Dietary restriction
Emotional:
- Fear of gaining weight, distorted body image
What are key features of Anorexia Nervosa (AN)?

What are the two subtypes of Anorexia Nervosa?

- Recurrent inappropriate

- Most individuals are overweight or obese
- Larger than normal food amounts vs. over-eating
- Negative emotions as precipitants of binge eating
