What promises were made in the covenant between God and his people?
In the covenant, God promised the Israelites that they would be his people, the Israelites promised to do everything the Lord said.

The 10 Commandments.
What was the journey to the promised land like?
It was a difficult journey that had lasted 40 years during which the people often failed to remain faithful to God, God continued to provide them throughout the journey.
