What is CN II?
Visual acuity assessed by the snellen chart. Also checks for PERRLA.
What is CN IV & VI & III
IV- abducens.
VI- trochlear moving eye down and in.
III- ocular motor involves the superior, inferior, medial, rectus and inferior oblique eye muscles.
What is CN VIII?
Acoustic or hearing.
What is the weber test?
Place vibrations at the center of the top of the skull to see if it heard by the patient bilaterally.
What is the Rhine test?
Tap device against palm and place close to patients eat and see how Long they can hear the vibrations.
What cranial nerves does the gag reflex test?
CN IX & X
What is the medical term for breath odor?
Halitosis
What is the correct placement of the trachea?
Midline
What do we check for in the thyroid gland?
Enlargement, movement, nodules, consistency, symmetry.
