Motion
The action of being moved.
Displacement
Where an object starts in one spot and ends in another.
Instantaneous speed
How fast something is going at a certain time or in an instant.
Resultant velocity
When for example a person is walking on a train the opposite distance the train is going.
Centripetal force
The force of an object that is moving in a circle.
Static friction
Friction caused by something sitting on something.
Kinetic friction
The friction of something in motion.
Motion
When an object moves.
Reference point
An object that helps detects motion
Speed
The distance travelled divided by the time it takes for the object to travel
Average speed
The average of the speed of an object moving divided by the time it takes the object to move.
Velocity
The speed of an object in a given direction.
Acceleration
An objects capability to gain speed.
Balanced forces
When for example you push on something and it doesn’t move.
Unbalanced forces
When for instance you push on an object and it moves.
