Elder Abuse
A catch all term referring to any knowing, intentional, or negligent act by a care giver or any other person that causes harm or serious risk of harm to a vulnerable adult.
Physical Abuse
Inflicting, or threatening to inflict, physical pain or injury, or depriving them of a basic need
Emotional Abuse
Inflicting mental pain anguish or distress through verbal or non verbal acts
Sexual Abuse
Non consensual sexual act
Explotation
The illegal taking, concealing, or misuse of funds, assets, and property
Neglect
Refusal or failure by those responsible to provide food, shelter, healthcare, and protection
Abandonment
The desertion of an elder person by anyone who has assumed responsibility for care or custody of that person

can be cause of many factors, or may be a personal choice. Some of the signs include: Hoarding, failure to take medication or seek treatment, poor hygiene, confusion, inability to tend to housekeeping. and dehydration

Acquiring and failing to throw out a large number of items that appear to have little or no value
Hygiene
Conditions and Practices, such as cleanliness that promote pr preserve health
