What is Adware?
Software that displays unwarranted advertisements, “Pop-ups” are common adware.
What is spyware?
Software that installs without the users knowledge that will log actions on the computer and forward it to a different computer.
What is a worm?
A worm is a self-replicating piece of
malware that spreads across networks and infects other computers.
What is a Trojan?
A Trojan [horse] is software that appears to perform a specific task, but also does something malicious in the background.
What is a Phishing scam?
A website form that appears be legitimate that requests personal information for malicious purposes.
What is a rootkit?
Software that works to detect, disable, and clean malicious software before it infects a computer.

What are the three most common hashing methods?
MD5 - Message Digest
SHA - Secure Hash Algorithm

What is a Physical Security Threat?
Attempts or events of theft or damage to physical equipment such as servers or networking equipment.
What is a Data Security Threat?
Events or attacks that remove, corrupt, deny access, or steal information.
