What is obesity
The condition of being considerably overweight with, and refers to a person with a body mass index of 30 or greater or who is at least 30 pounds over the recommended weight for their height

What are blood lipids?
Also know as triglycerides and cholesterol, blood lipids are carried into to blood stream by protein molecules known as high density lipoproteins (HDL) and low density lipoproteins (LDL)
What is diabetes mellitus?
Chronic metabolic disorder caused by insulin deficiency, which impairs carbohydrate usage and enhance usage of fats and proteins
It is also when blood glucose or blood sugar is unable to enter the cell because the pancreas is unable to produce insulin or the cells have become insulin resistant
What is type one diabetes?
The pancreas is not producing insulin
What is type 2 diabetes and how much percent of diabetes does it account for?
Associated with obesity, account for 90 to 95% of all diabetes.
Patients usually produce adequate insulin but their cells have become insulin resistant
